About
I’m Dilliane, a strength coach with a background in physiology, sports science, and weightlifting. I support people to build strength through free-weight training in a way that’s evidence-based and grounded in kindness.
My interest in strength training has always been driven by curiosity about how bodies adapt. Through academic study, I developed a strong foundation in physiology, biomechanics, and exercise prescription, and through coaching I learned that knowledge only matters when it’s shared with care.
I hold an MSci in Physiology & Sports Science from the University of Glasgow, which continues to inform how I approach strength training, particularly around load management, adaptation, and long-term sustainability. Alongside this, I hold Level 3 Personal Training and Level 2 Olympic Weightlifting Coaching qualifications, with current First Aid certification.
I’ve worked as a strength coach across elite sport, university programmes, and commercial, boutique, and community gym settings, including roles with British Weightlifting, West Ham United Women’s Football Club, Rangers Women’s Football Club, and Glasgow City Football Club. Across these environments, one thing became clear: people do best when coaching prioritises understanding, autonomy, and respect for lived experience.
Over time, I found myself wanting to create the kind of training space I would have appreciated when I first started. I love strength training and the confidence and capability it can build, but I was drawn to an approach that felt less defined by aesthetics or ideas of constant pushing. That perspective shapes the kind of environment I aim to offer now.
Outside of coaching, I practice Olympic weightlifting and yin yoga myself. I enjoy reading and creative projects, spending time outdoors walking and cold water swimming, and the occasional hot drink with something sweet at a local café.
